The perfect place to
achieve your fitness goals
At Trident we pride ourselves on being able to help you achieve the result you want. There are no ego’s in our gym and understand that someone training at 22 years old is likely to have different goals and aspirations to someone who is 35 and has just packed their second child off to nursery and may now have some time for themselves for the first time in a long time. It’s important to know our clients, understand your goals and help you cater a program that suits not just what you do in the gym but what you do outside of it too.
So many gyms focus on quick, instant fat loss that looks good on a before and after photograph but isn’t sustainable. Whatever your fitness goals we can help but our aim is to not sell a short term dream that is about making money for the gym and not about helping your own mental and physical relationship with health and fitness improve.
No. We do not charge a joining fee just your months fee after you have used your free trial pass.
You can indeed. Its slightly more than our normal fees just as there is more admin involved when the process isn’t automated.
That’s fine…we are here to help and pride ourselves in helping you feel comfortable from the outset. We would prefer you to ask for help initially than think you know what you are doing and not see the best results for your efforts.
Of course… we don’t do an “Induction” this is a phrase a number of Gym’s use which translates to “ We will sell you a PT session” or something like that. Having a program to work towards we know from experience helps you to stay on track and know what needs to be done on when you come for your session.
This is common, typically a new gym user stops between 4 & 8 weeks of joining and that’s what the large chain gyms rely upon. They sell up to 6 times as many memberships as the gym would house knowing sometimes 70% of their members don’t use the gym after the 4-8 week period. Our gym is the reverse, we have a high regular attendance rate and pride ourselves not on the gym but on our loyal members and our aim is to hand hold you through the first few weeks so you don’t get bored as you start to feel motivated by your own progression.
No!! Never strength, fitness and resistance training is proven to benefit everyone no matter your age. Clearly we wouldn’t do the same program for someone at 17 years old as we would at 77 years old but both persons would benefit in the same way.
No ego’s allowed in our gym. We want to maintain our relaxed family environment and that starts by the type of people we have as members. “Birds of a feather flock together” as the saying goes and we all start training at different points but we all remember what it’s like to feel self-conscious and nervous. Don’t worry, our members will be focussed on their own training but some of the best feedback we get is how helpful our existing members can be to new members.
No!!! Book a weekend at a spa if that’s what you want. It’s nice to lounge in these facilities but more often that not these are a distraction to training and if you are going to break away from your family for an hour what is going to help you achieve your goals? Sitting in a sauna sweating or pushing some weights or attending a class and sweating through hard work?
